The TOI Pune Festival

This year, I happened to attend a few events lined up as part of the Times Of India Pune Festival. Most, rather all of which I attended, were musical events. There were a couple of plays and cookery events which I didn't attend. Anyhow, so the ones I attended were : First one, Shaan's musical concert at Amanora Park Town This one seemed to be promising, at the newly built Amanora Park Town. The name sounds grand and the mall looks grand, but the approach road to the ground? Doesn't that need to be grand too? Or even a normal tar road? Maybe that is not really important then. Second thing was the parking. There was no parking arrangement at the ground. Park your vehicle as and where you wish on the rocky road! Worse, Times distributed passes, but Amanora distributed VIP passes. All those who were not VIP were supposed to stand! That was also not so bad, but then you should start the program on time. They started at 8:30! Ohh and did I tell you about the entry lines

I'm just beautiful me!

These verses are from the song "Who says" by Selena Gomez. I just can't get over the lyrics. They are so real, so true, so perfect! I'm no beauty queen, I'm just beautiful me You got every right to a beautiful life, come on Who says, who says you're not perfect Who says you're not worth it Who says you're the only one that's hurting Trust me that's the price of beauty Who says you're not pretty Who says you're not beautiful, who says? I'm no beauty queen, I'm just beautiful me You got every right to a beautiful life, come on Who says you're not star potential Who says you're not presidential Who says you can't be in movies Listen to me, listen to me Who says you don't pass the test Who says you can't be the best Who said, who said? Would you tell me who said that, yeah Who said I'm no beauty queen, I'm just beautiful me You got every right to a beautiful

A New Year!

Image
Another year gone by, time to reflect and make a rough plan of what I want to achieve this year. I started this last year and hope to continue this tradition. The year that was, 2011 * Professional life, a little dip I would say. Friends gone, group gone and a lot of new people. Atmosphere has changed and hoping it will be positive this year. * Meagre blogging! Really, look at the posts I published this year, and its only 12! Yes, I have two more blogs, the movie and the books and the reason I separated them is so that I could keep this one focused on me! But it seems I have lost focus about the most important person, myself :| * My new Activa and my Droid :) (Yes, I didn't write about my bike :| There are so many of my posts lying in the drafts folder :| ) * My first flight was in 2011. A company trip to Hyderabad to attend the Java One Technical Fest. (Yes, this post is still in drafts :| ) * I did read quite a few books this year. Not as many as I would have liked, bu

An eventful last week of the year!

Yes, I wrote a similar post last year too. And luckily we kept this tradition intact. Last week of the year..with family :) Here are the highlights: - Its great to know people who explore new places/fun stuff/food and are not mean enough to hide details from you. They wish for you to go and experience the fun as they did. There are some people, rare to find though, who are still kind enough. - Spending time with family is awesome! Specially when you get to plan the trips and get your parents to enjoy the stuff you experienced :) - Airtel network is bad..real bad! It leaves you when you need it the most! And I hate Airtel! - If the food being served/made is good, it doesn't mean that your appetite has increased three-fold :p Learn to limit the intake, especially of "non-diet-friendly" food :D - Sometimes, your priorities will conflict. And you have to make a choice. You can't keep everyone happy, but one person you should keep happy, is, yourself! - Ja
